Clay Play: Simple Handbuilding A 2 session-course to Unleash Creativity and Focus
Join Melissa Mead for a transformative 2 session pottery course designed to nurture you. “Clay Play” invites participants to explore the tactile world of ceramics through a gentle, playful approach. This course is perfect for a fun afternoon break.
Course Overview:
Create a simple form with Rolling or Pinching clay: Explore fundamental handbuilding methods, creating a form with an emphasis on shaping, decorating and exploring.
Foster the art of looking and seeing: What simple shape combinations can create faces, simple lines change expression and more.
Connect: Focus on the joy of making rather than perfection.

Her unique pottery style is inspired by the natural beauty of Aotearoa, and her classes focus on both the technical and therapeutic aspects of working with clay.
